Full time Histotech Career Opportunity at Spectrum Dermatology

Histology Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced Histotechnician/Histotechnologist for a full-time position (Mon-Fri) at our growing dermatopathology laboratory located in the Phoenix/Arcadia area.
Duties:

• Perform routine activities in histologic preparations
• Prepare reagents, solutions and control slides - Embedding, microtomy, tissue grossing, tissue processing
• Special stain procedures by bench method - IHC staining - Routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Documents all Quality Control activities
• Other assigned duties

Requirements:

• AA, AS or minimum 2 year equivalent combination of education, or successful completion of NAACLS accredited histology program
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Histology/IHC lab as a technician
• Must meet CLIA requirements for high complexity testing
• Must show attention to detail, work independently as well as with team members, and possess strong capability to troubleshoot
